We’re looking for a Kitchen Assistant to help us with the day-to-day operations in the kitchen. You will be responsible for food preparation, cooking, and cleaning.
Kitchen Assistant Duties
- Prepare, serve, and dispose of food according to restaurant policies and procedures
- Manage and maintain cleanliness of all kitchen, keeping everything clean and in proper order
- Prepare food according to recipes
- Assist with cleaning, stocking, and preparation of food
- Maintain safe food handling practices
- Handle guest’s complaints and questions
Kitchen Assistant Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and utensils, and assist in other kitchen duties as directed by the Executive Chef and the Operations Manager
- Perform all duties including food preparation, serving, and cleanup within required time-frames
- Maintain inventory levels, monitor usage, and ensure catering staff has appropriate supplies
- Provide timely feedback to Operations Manager on efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction
- Assume other job duties as assigned by Executive Chef or Operations Manager
Requirements and Skills
- High school diploma or GED
- Meet physical requirements (e.g., ability to lift, bend, stretch, walk, crawl)
- Must have good people skills
- Ability to follow directions
