Job Brief:
We’re looking for Kitchen Porter to work in our busy kitchen. You will be responsible for cleaning and preparing the kitchen for service, as well as washing dishes and keeping the kitchen clean and tidy.
Kitchen Porter Duties:
- Assist in unloading trucks, unpacking and storing materials, and performing other duties relating to preparing the site
- Supervise kitchen staff, including ordering, training, scheduling, and disciplining
- Conduct inventory and maintain supplies
- Answer telephone, respond to inquiries, and manage and troubleshoot equipment
- Ensure all food safety standards are met
- Ensure medical aid in their facilities
- Manage food cost, labor, and overhead
- Clarify problem areas, recommend solutions, and implement changes as needed

Kitchen Porter Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain kitchen facilities including trash cans, floors, walls, tables, and counter tops
- Unload incoming produce and ingredients from delivery vehicles, sort and stack products according to type and date, and unpack boxes and crates
- Sort and stock merchandise according to vendor prices and sales projections
- Clean and store returned items and damaged merchandise, and discard waste
- Maintain inventory by checking stock levels and placing orders
- Maintain all cleaning supplies and equipment, and handle minor repair and cleaning tasks as needed
- Follow sanitation and safety regulations, and report any violations
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment
- Communicate effectively with staff, vendors, and other team members
