Lead Carpenter Duties:
- Manage work crews involved in new construction and remodel projects, ensuring proper work completion according to specification
- Direct workers to perform tasks and ensure work is accomplished according to plan
- Provide direction to workers on various aspects of construction
- Ensure work is completed on time and within budget
Lead Carpenter Responsibilities:
- Maintain on-the-job safety by ensuring compliance with building codes and OSHA standards
- Maintain quality craftsmanship by ensuring alignment with jobsite specifications and standards
- Maintain a clean jobsite by picking up and properly disposing of debris
- Conduct and document quality assurance and safety inspections throughout the construction process
- Order materials and manage subcontractor activities
- Maintain and update project documents and schedule
Requirements And Skills:
- A high school diploma or GED
- 3+ years’ carpentry experience
- Construction management experience
- Strong knowledge of building materials
- Knowledge of building codes
- Ability to read blueprints
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
