Lead Toddler Teacher Duties:
- Follow early childhood development standards, practices, and curriculum
- Develop and implement lesson plans, lessons plans, and assessments
- Develop and implement curriculum plans, activities, and assessments
- Create and implement daily lesson plans and daily activities
- Maintain up-to-date filing systems
- Focus on preparing students to achieve academically
- Meet with parents and/or guardians to discuss student progress and needs
- Other duties as assigned
Lead Toddler Teacher Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans, resources, and activities according to daily schedule and daily plans
- Educate and enthuse toddlers, using a variety of methods and learning approaches, and supervise their classroom activities
- Develop lesson plans and resources for each child, including sensory and fine motor activities, crafts, and playtime
- Supervise children during playtime activities, meals and rest periods
- Assist children with toileting, hand washing, housekeeping, and other aspects of personal care
- Assist with promoting a positive classroom environment, including enforcing a prompt entry and exit policy
- Coach, counsel, and train staff on classroom management techniques
- Explain school policies and procedures to parents
- Maintain a clean and safe learning environment for the child
- Complete daily paperwork, including attendance, meals, and incident reports
Requirements And Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in early childhood or elementary education
- 2+ years of experience working with toddlers in a childcare setting
- Strong communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks
- Knowledge of curriculum, child development, and classroom management
