Job Brief:
We’re looking for a Lifeguard to work at our pool this summer.
Lifeguard Duties:
- Implement and maintain the duties and requirements of lifeguards, including performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), first aid, and emergency action plans
- Monitor and report the status of all swimmers in a specific area
- Direct all swimmers in designated area and instruct them, as needed, in proper swim techniques and safety procedures
- Report all injuries and accidents to supervisors
- Meet all customer and guest service standards
- Ensure all pool equipment is in working order
- Maintain accurate records of all pool activities
- Maintain cleanliness of pool area
- Perform other duties as assigned
Lifeguard Responsibilities:
- Provide lifesaving, first aid, and lifesaving skills to patrons, supervise swimmers in assigned areas, and assist in enforcing area rules
- Attend training courses and seminars, and maintain CPR/AED certifications
- Maintain equipment and supplies, and ensure equipment is in working condition
- Notify management upon any emergencies
- Report and document all injuries, accidents, hazardous conditions, incidents, and illnesses immediately
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements And Skills:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous lifeguard experience preferred
- Must meet water safety certifications
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends
- Must be 18 years of age
