Machine Learning Expert Job Description

A machine learning expert is an expert in using machine learning (ML).

Machine learning is software that is used to create algorithms that are capable of learning from and then making predictions based on data, without being programmed to do so.

A machine learning expert is someone who takes raw data and makes decisions based on that data.

These decisions are based off algorithms that have been trained through machine learning.

Machine Learning Experts are highly sought after by companies because they can be trained, or “educated” to make decisions based on data.

Job Brief:

We’re looking for a Machine Learning Expert to help us improve our algorithms and models. You will be working with a team of data scientists and engineers to develop and deploy new machine learning models.

Machine Learning Expert Duties:

• Develop deep learning models using machine learning and AI techniques
• Identify, research, and apply new machine learning and AI techniques
• Develop and implement targeted machine learning solutions
• Participate in product design and development meetings
• Identify and prioritize potential problems inherent to machine learning
• Advise project managers and engineers on AI solutions

Machine Learning Expert Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of data scientists and engineers to develop and implement machine learning solutions in the data science and engineering space
• Design and implement scalable and high-performance machine learning solutions
• Develop testable and reusable learning algorithms
• Develop and implement scalable and high-performance machine learning solutions
• Strongly developed technical background in machine learning, software engineering, or data science
• Experience working with a distributed system
• Experience with mobile development
• Experience with one or more data mining and machine learning libraries
• Experience analyzing large amounts of data at scale
• Experience setting up and configuring a Hadoop cluster
• Experience with Google Cloud Machine Learning
• Experience with Apache Spark
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform
• Experience working in a fast-paced agile environment
• Dissertation in machine learning, signal processing, or a related field
• Experience with Hadoop, Hadoop Ecosystem
• Experience with Apache Mahout
• Experience in data engineering

Requirements And Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or other quantitative field
• 3+ years experience developing machine learning models at scale
• Expert in one or more machine learning algorithms, including: logistic regression, decision trees, random forests, SVMs, or ensembles
