Job Brief:
We’re looking for a Mental Health Therapist to help our clients improve their well-being. The therapist will work with clients to identify and manage their stressors, develop positive coping mechanisms, and help them build a support network.
Mental Health Therapist Duties:
- Assist individuals who are experiencing emotional, social, or behavioral issues
- Investigate symptoms associated with various disorders
- Educate patient’s and family members about disorders and treatments
- Provide patient’s family with educational tools and resources
Mental Health Therapist Responsibilities:
- Provide treatment to clients, including individual, family, and couples therapy
- Work from a written treatment plan and from a variety of therapeutic approaches
- Design, conduct, and evaluate individual and group therapeutic programs
- Assist clients with identifying and resolving personal issues
- Provide crisis intervention
- Assist clients with accessing community resources
- Maintain client records and documentation
- Control clinical and administrative budgets
- Stay abreast of advances in mental health treatment
- Maintain safe, secure, and healthy working environment
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements And Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in counseling, psychology, or related field
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working with adolescents, adults, and families
- Knowledge of behavioral and mental health assessment (assessments, therapy, and treatment plans)
- Skills in diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders
