Military Police Officer Duties:

• Protect and uphold law and order on military installations
• Maintain discipline and order among military personnel
• Ensure the safe movement of military personnel and property
• Conduct investigations, service searches, and arrest duties as necessary
• Develop, train, and maintain positive relationships with supervisors, members of surrounding communities, and other military officials
• Assist with administrative duties as needed

Military Police Officer Responsibilities:

• Enforce all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including traffic laws, parking laws, and parking violations
• Work closely with local traffic enforcement officers to coordinate on traffic enforcement and traffic safety
• Perform duties necessary to provide and maintain a safe environment for offenders, staff, and visitors
• Enforce security access policies
• Obtain/maintain/store authorized firearms, ammunition and uniforms
• Maintain accurate records of all property and evidence
• Answer all two-way radios
• Staff, supervise, and discipline detention officers and deputies

Requirements And Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or related field
• 2+ years’ law enforcement experience
• Demonstrated leadership, negotiation, communication, and judgment skills
• Ability to work effectively within a diverse environment
• Knowledge of military rules and regulations
• High level of physical stamina
