Monitor Technician Duties:
- Maintain established quality standards and procedures while developing and monitoring test equipment
- Review work orders, safety plans, and programs before work begins
- Review and analyze test results
- Process and analyze data
- Communicate effectively with production, facility management, and engineers
Monitor Technician Responsibilities:
- Monitor all satellite systems, including frequency, channel, and power output
- Receive, record, and store data electronically for later analysis
- Record information from the L-Band Tracking Console and transmit to the home office
- Answer calls from customers, dispatch technicians, and handle customer queries
- Deliver feedback to site personnel about system performance
- Ensure necessary hardware is in place such as antenna, signal splitter, antenna adapter, and coaxial cable
- Maintain inventory by ordering new cables and splitters and monitoring inventory
- Perform routine maintenance on satellite systems and equipment, including AN/ARC-210-1 (CC), AN/ARC-210-2 (CC), and the C-CC-107 (CC)
- Maintain the tracking console
- Perform system testing, including RF testing,
Requirements And Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering, mathematics, science, or a related field
- 1+ years experience in monitoring/controlling operations
- Highly proficient in reading, interpreting, and executing pre-fabricated equipment operation manuals
- Ability to work with contractor personnel to resolve equipment
