As the title suggests, a mortgage closer is tasked with closing a real estate transaction, and this closing usually happens after the purchase of the property, including arranging for the buyer’s mortgage, title insurance, and property insurance.
The mortgage closer is also tasked with ensuring that the buyer is aware that they have to keep the mortgage current and that the property insurance policy must be renewed.

- Meet with clients to explain mortgage products and services
- Identify and qualify customers for mortgage financing by writing and submitting financing applications
- Prepare loan documents and process applications by gathering and analyzing required documentation, calculating customer qualifications, calculating payments, setting up credit accounts, and requesting verifications
- Verify and process applications, closing documents, and disclosures with customers
