We’re looking for a qualified Music Director to lead our music program. The ideal candidate will have a passion for music and a strong knowledge of musical theory and composition. They will be responsible for directing our choir and band, leading rehearsals, and overseeing all aspects of our music program. Music Director Duties:

• Oversee musical production on a musical stage or facility
• Maintain production calendar
• Organize rehearsal schedules, personnel records, and audition procedures
• Perform administrative duties, such as scheduling, bookkeeping, and budgeting
• Accept all guest artists and perform their duties

Music Director Responsibilities:

• Design and compose original scores for film, television, commercials, trailers, and advertisements, as well as compose for musicians, choirs, or bands, and supervise the scheduling of sessions
• Research and develop new ideas, techniques, and compositional approaches
• Write, edit, and revise music according to client guidelines
• Perform for recording sessions or stage shows
• Manage session musicians and hire session musicians
• Maintain thorough and accurate logs of all session-related expenses
• Coordinate with producers and directors to determine the best use of music and ensure that key creative objectives are successfully attained within the given parameters
• Enforce performing rights of the compositions
• Research music licensing opportunities and the licensing process

Requirements And Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in music or music education
• Experience in music organization and management
• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• Excellent communication, planning, and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of the music industry, and an understanding of the music industry’s financials
