Job Brief:
We’re looking for a certified Nurse Midwife who is interested in working in a hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have experience working with pregnant women and their families, as well as experience in labor and delivery.
Nurse Midwife Duties:
- Properly assess patient’s current health status and needs, determining when to use specific health care services
- Maintain patients’ medical records
- Diagnose, treat, and provide care for patients
- Provide nursing care to patients, including assistance with daily living, such as personal hygiene, nutrition, and mobility
- Make sure all treatments, medications, and procedures are performed safely and accurately
- Maintain appropriate medical equipment
- Advise physician and other health care practitioners on health promotion, disease prevention, and illness treatment

Nurse Midwife Responsibilities:
- Oversee a team of midwives and support staff, including scheduling, training, and mentorship
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of patient care, and provide leadership, guidance, and mentoring to team members
- Perform prenatal and post-natal examinations, and prenatal ultrasounds
- Create and conduct patient assessments, including verifying medical history, performing diagnostic tests, and making determinations
- Prepare obstetrical, neonatal, pediatric, and gynecological medications and medications for labor and delivery
- Perform basic diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
- Perform labor and delivery, including induction, fetal monitoring, vacuum extraction, and episiotomy
- Perform operative vaginal delivery
- Perform obstetrical procedures, including vacuum extraction, forceps delivery, and cutdown
- Prepare recovery room and postoperative care
