Overnight Stocker Job Description

An overnight stocker is a ship that carries food, clothing, machinery, or other goods from manufacturer to retailer.

Over-night stockers load and unload at ports rather than at warehouses.

They move goods to inland rail and highway distribution centers, or directly to stores.

Overnight stockers also transfer goods between ships, and to and between railroads.

Ships that carry grain, oil, coal, or scrap also qualify as overnight stockers, though the ship may also serve as a grain terminal.

Job Brief:

We’re looking for an Overnight Stocker to help us keep our shelves stocked and our customers happy. You’ll be responsible for stocking shelves, conducting inventory, and providing excellent customer service. If you’re hard-working, detail-oriented, and have a passion for helping others, we want you on our team!

Overnight Stocker Duties:

• Check inventory and replenish stock as needed
• Deliver incoming shipments to the right locations
• Perform a variety of general building supplies and equipment maintenance tasks
• Maintain cleanliness of stockrooms, delivery trucks, and warehouses
• Promote a safe and secure workplace by adhering to food safety rules and workplace safety standards
• Assist with receiving and inventory control
• Follow all safety and security policies and procedures

Overnight Stocker Responsibilities:

• Previous overnight stocker experience
• Proven ability to meet deadlines
• Able to process orders (work-from-the-shelf), and stock shelves, coolers, and freezers
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work within tight

Requirements And Skills:

• Keep all products clean, neat, and orderly
• Assist in unloading and loading trucks
• Maintain stock by rotating products, handling damage, placing items on sales displays
• Stay current on products, promotions, and inventory needs
• Complete all paperwork accurately and completely
