A plant operator is someone who operates one or more industrial or manufacturing facilities.

Plant operators are responsible for overseeing all operations at a production or manufacturing facility.

This includes overseeing the production process itself, as well as the people who work there.

Plant operators may oversee people and machinery, scheduling, and quality control, among other duties.

Job Brief:

We’re looking for Plant Operator to help us run our manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate will have experience in running a plant and will be able to keep our production line running smoothly. Plant Operator Duties:

• Instruct, mentor, train, and schedule employees
• Perform routine maintenance duties
• Maintain safe working conditions
• Meet production goals
• Schedule work
• Keep accurate records
• Communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, and management

Plant Operator Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment, including visual inspections, lubrication, and adjustments as needed
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on equipment to ensure its reliability
• Maintain inventory on parts and adhere to labor, material, and quality standards
• Prepare and review work orders and requisitions to ensure work is performed on time and within budget
• Perform other duties, as needed, in accordance with established procedures

Requirements And Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• 3+ years of experience in operating an industrial plant or facility.
• Skilled in operating industrial machinery, heavy equipment, or industrial equipment
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Ability to work under tight deadlines
