Production Planner Duties:
- Review production schedules, receiving, material handling, and inventory control procedures, and suggest improvements
- Ensure that quality standards are met
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality objectives for planning and execution of projects
- Develop, maintain, update, and revise schedules
- Develop, implement, and maintain workflow processes
- Perform quality control inspections and record keeping
- Proactively identify, mitigate, and track recurring construction issues
- Oversee construction scheduling, cost control, and project profitability
Production Planner Responsibilities:
- Manage production scheduling, costing, and shipping including inventory, materials, and labor, and oversee daily and weekly production schedules and inventory keeping
- Control costs by scheduling production, identifying waste, and reviewing material usage
- Supervise warehousing, production, and shipping operations, and ensure smooth, efficient production flow
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control standards and procedures, including use of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
- Maintain and update production schedule, usage reports, and other documentation
- Assist management and employees with basic business functions such as accounting, payroll, and benefits
