QA Automation Engineer Job Description

QA Automation Engineer is someone who is responsible for testing, monitoring, and automating software testing for organizations.

QA Automation Engineers create test cases, and test software applications based on those test cases.

Additionally, QA Automation Engineers may run automated testing tools, and collaborate with QA Analysts and developers to create and validate test cases.

QA Automation Engineers have a deep understanding of systems, software, software testing, and automated testing tools, and can communicate effectively with non-technical departments and stakeholders.

Job Brief:

We’re looking for a QA Automation Engineer to help us improve the quality of our products. As a QA Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing automated tests. You will also be responsible for maintaining and improving the existing automation framework. In addition, you will be working closely with the QA team to ensure that all test cases are covered.

QA Automation Engineer Duties:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test procedures
• Develop and maintain automated software testing and validation processes
• Research, design, and implement new test criteria
• Implement test plans and procedures
• Execute and maintain regression and performance tests

QA Automation Engineer Responsibilities:

• Create and manage test plans and perform test execution on assigned products
• Write and to deliver test plans to QA team
• Perform risk analysis, and create and implement test strategies
• Develop automation scripts using Selenium
• Manage QA environment, including automation execution and reporting
• Track and manage test cases and test steps
• Perform regression testing, review test cases, and write test reports
• Participate in team meetings

Requirements And Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, computer, or industrial engineering or a related field
• 3+ years professional experience in design and quality assurance of electrical systems
• Knowledge of test and measurement instruments
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
