Security Manager Duties

• Supervise security staff and ensure that they are performing their duties in compliance with company policies and procedures
• Ensure that security plan is in place and communicated to all personnel
• Provide input for security procedures and equipment
• Provide input for routine and random security audits
• Provide input for security training and orientation
• Promote the safety culture of the company
• Encourage continuous improvement among the security staff
• Provide training to security staff on new security procedures and policy

Security Manager Responsibilities

• Assume full responsibility for all security related matters, including incident response, investigation, and reporting
• Design and implement security policies and procedures in accordance with company standards
• Coach and train security officers on company policies and procedures
• Develop, implement, and maintain loss prevention programs
• Monitor existing security equipment to ensure continued compliance with Bank policies and procedures
• Review incoming work orders and make recommendations on appropriate resolutions
• Develop and maintain relationships with public safety agencies

Requirements And Skills

• Proven experience managing a security department
• Proven ability to analyze and recommend improvements in security procedures and technologies
• Excellent close tolerance awareness
• Proven ability to select, train, and evaluate security staff
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
