SharePoint Developer Job Description

A SharePoint developer is a software developer who specializes in creating specialized applications for Microsoft SharePoint.

At the most basic level, a SharePoint developer will use SharePoint Designer to create view layouts and design elements, and will build pages using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

The developer may also create web applications that are used by end users to add new or modify existing SharePoint pages.

The developer may use jQuery, HTML5, and CSS to design pages that allow users to add content.

SharePoint developers may also create reports that are hosted on SharePoint pages and allow users to create, modify, and view data.

Job Brief:

We’re looking for a SharePoint Developer who can help us improve our current SharePoint site. We’re looking for someone who is experienced in SharePoint development and can help us create a more efficient and user-friendly site.

SharePoint Developer Duties:

• Develop and maintain SharePoint-based solutions
• Help with the development and maintenance of the company SharePoint 2016 environment
• Ensure the compatibility of solutions with the SharePoint 2016 platform and other back-end systems
• Research and develop applications using Microsoft SharePoint 2016
• Provide end user assistance for SharePoint 2016 installations, enhancements, and upgrades

SharePoint Developer Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain SharePoint based applications, UIs, and modules
• Conduct technical research, identify problem areas, and create solutions
• Translate user requirements and functionality into technical design specifications and workflows
• Develop test plans, create test data, and execute test cases
• Implement new features and functionality
• Provide technical support for end users on SharePoint applications
• Provide support during project implementations
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements And Skills:

• Proven experience in developing SharePoint solutions
• Anatomy and analysis of business requirements
• Design and development of SharePoint solutions
• Experience in SharePoint with SSIS, SSRS, and BDC
• Knowledge of SharePoint APIs and and architecture
• Proven experience with design
