Software Security Engineer Job Description

The Software Engineer Intern position is a real-world, paid internship that typically lasts 12-18 months.

The intern will be mentored and supervised by a Lead Software Engineer with negligible supervision from management.

The intern will be learning the software engineering process, production deployment, and client application development.

The intern will work directly with staff software developers on a wide variety of projects.

The intern will grow to the task of providing software related assistance in departments.

The intern will be provided with complex projects in which he/she will have to apply their newly acquired knowledge.

Job Brief:

We’re looking for a Software Engineer Intern to join our team. As a Software Engineer Intern, you will be working on a variety of projects, ranging from developing new features for our products to fixing bugs. You will also get the chance to work with a variety of technologies, including Java, Python, and PHP.

Software Security Engineer Duties:

• Design and develop software applications, including utility programs, database applications, and web-based applications
• Work with software life cycle management methods
• Enforce coding standards
• Proactively contribute to software design
• Script applications using scripting languages
• Collaborate with a software development team
• Learn about software architecture and testing
• Have a minimum 3.0 GPA

Software Security Engineer Responsibilities:

• Develop software programs as part of a team, including software tools, game applications, and online applications
• Perform quality assurance throughout the development process and test the result of development
• Provide feedback on process improvements and suggest alternative solutions
• Provide input on project timelines and estimate workflow
• Provide input into project goals, including scope, schedule, and budget
• Qualifications: -Bachelor’s degree in a related area
• Years of experience as software developer
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability and willingness to learn new technologies
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
