Solution Architect Job Description

A solution architect focuses on issues of business strategy, implementation, and operation.

Solution architects create, define, and deliver solutions.

Solution architects work closely with business and technology partners to deliver IT solutions that align to business goals.

Job Brief:

Solution Architect Duties:

• Serve as a trusted advisor to Project Managers and Senior Engineering Leads through comprehensive analysis of client requirements and solution designs
• Identify and document business processes, document workflows, and assess, design, develop, and implement tools, processes, and systems
• Support project management team with project assessments, analysis, and recommendations
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, status reports, and project milestone tracking
• Develop customized and custom-fit solutions and implementations
• Assist in research, development, and testing of product enhancements
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, status reports, and project milestone tracking
• Perform other duties as assigned

Solution Architect Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic planning, direction, and support to IT and/or services department in the development of enterprise, small, and/or departmental solutions
• Work closely with clients to develop long-term service strategies, determine technical solutions, conduct risk assessments, and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction
• Opportunities for presenting at client meetings, conducting internal and client training, and evolving service offerings
• Assess client needs, evaluate existing technologies, develop solutions, and provide technical support
• Perform research to identify existing and emerging technologies, tools, and products
• Write technical documentation, perform software installation, and support

• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) and be familiar with industry-specific software and tools

Requirements And Skills:

• 5+ years of proven experience as an Architecture, Infrastructure, Deployment, Solutions (AIAD) or Solution Architect
• Strong technical background, including 5+ years of IT experience
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
