Surgical Coordinator Duties:
- Manage and coordinate surgical cases from start to finish, ensuring all areas are functioning as required
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or a related field
- Four-year degree preferred
- Previous experience in medical surgical nursing preferred
- Current state license for nurse anesthetist required

Surgical Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Meet with surgeons and anesthesiologists to discuss cases, and schedule and administer medical procedures
- Advise surgeons of progress, and problem-solve complications
- Source, acquire, and organize medical equipment and supplies
- Maintain inventory of surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies
- Monitor inventory and bill supplies to facility
- Record patient history, including allergies and pre-existing conditions
- Maintain QAPI compliance
- Monitor operating room schedules, and process bills for surgical procedures
- Remove and clean all surgical instruments after use
- Perform other duties and other work as required
Requirements And Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or a related field
- Two+ years’ proven experience in an acute care setting
- Strong background in operational procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Strong organization skills
- Ability to multi-task and handle multiple priorities
