Surveillance Investigator Duties:
- Perform surveillance operations to ensure evidence of employee misconduct or criminal activities is gathered
- Track and document all activities performed during surveillance operations
- Perform on-site interviews with witnesses and other law enforcement personnel as needed
- Provide information regarding the capture, processing, and submission of evidence to applicable surveillance units
- Perform other surveillance related duties as assigned
Surveillance Investigator Responsibilities:
- Perform surveillance operations, such as stationary, mobile, and covert surveillance, using appropriate surveillance equipment, including video recording equipment and biometric recording equipment
- Design, develop, and implement surveillance plans
- Prepare, maintain, and update daily surveillance reports
- Be able to observe, identify, and document activity, and recognize and report unusual or suspicious behavior
- Perform pre- and post-surveillance planning and analysis
- Perform operations maintenance, such as routine maintenance, safety checks, and troubleshooting
- Recommend and procure surveillance equipment
Requirements And Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in criminal justice, law enforcement, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience conducting surveillance operations
- Knowledge of surveillance methods and technologies
- Knowledge of applicable laws regarding surveillance and investigative techniques
- Proven ability to conduct investigations and interview subjects
