Technical Designer Duties:

• Assist with the creation, recommendation, and execution of technical designs
• Research and analyze organizational data and technical trends to create a plan of action for effective utilization of current and future technology
• Evaluate and improve existing technical solutions
• Create and manage technical documentation, including specifications, drawings, and reports
• Develop and propose new technical solutions

Technical Designer Responsibilities:

• Research, design, develop, test, document, and deliver graphic, interactive, and web development solutions using modern web technologies
• Work with internal and external clients to understand business requirements and propose solutions that meet those needs
• Work closely with project teams and product owners to define project requirements, create functional specifications, create design specifications, test requirements, and document solutions
• Develop clean and accessible code that follows best practices and standards
• Work with project managers to anticipate and manage risks, and ensure deadlines are achieved during project execution
• Provide front-end and back-end support for projects
• Exhibit a customer-centric perspective at all times
• Continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and skills
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external clients
• Take the lead on communication efforts both inside and outside the organization
• Provide feedback and advice to team members, and collaborate with them to meet common goals

Requirements And Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree, or 5+ years’ related experience
• Proven experience working with CAD software; proficiency in Revit preferred
• Proven knowledge of building codes and standards
• Knowledge of construction methods and technologies; ability to interpret technical designs and plans
