The unit clerk is the person who is responsible for all the activities related to a unit.

Job Brief:

We’re looking for a Unit Clerk to join our team. The Unit Clerk will be responsible for a variety of clerical and administrative duties. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, and be able to work well under pressure. Unit Clerk Duties:

  • Maintain accurate, efficient, and effective records of all patient care information
  • Maintain patient records by updating forms, creating charts, and entering information into computer system
  • Maintain inventory control including updating stock levels
  • Maintain patient confidentiality at all times

Unit Clerk Responsibilities:

  • 2 years’ experience working with medical units
  • Ability to tender items clearly and accurately
  • Ability to stock and maintain the unit’s supply inventory
  • Ability to organize and maintain the unit inventory and paperwork
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Actively seeks out opportunities for improvement
  • Knowledge

Requirements And Skills:

  • Provide 24/7 administrative support, from scheduling meetings and conference calls, to managing expense reports, to handling travel arrangements
  • Manage customer and guest service requests, process guest check-ins, work orders, and room keys
  • Research and process expense reports in a timely manner
  • Coordinate and handle all incoming and outgoing mail
  • Assist with daily administrative operations
  • Maintain detailed administrative records and logs
  • Customize and maintain departmental databases
  • Assist with physical inventories of office equipment and supplies
