Visiting Faculty Job Description

Job Brief:

Visiting Faculty Duties:

• Design and develop undergraduate, graduate, and continuing education programs
• New course development
• New project development
• Promote interest in computer science
• Involvement in curriculum-related activities
• Involvement in student recruitment, advising, and career development

Visiting Faculty Responsibilities:

• Create and teach online and on-campus classes, along with advising and mentoring students
• Provide students with relevant career and professional development information
• Recruit students, manage enrollments, and approve payments
• Coordinate with Student Affairs on admissions and recruitment issues
• Ensure all course materials, assignments, and exams are submitted on time
• Maintain student records
• Conduct research, write and publish articles, and organize conferences
• Participate in committees and working groups
• Participate in departmental and departmental-related activities

Requirements And Skills:

• A natural ability to lead and teach effectively
• Demonstrated experience in the classroom and advising
• Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0
• Ability to develop unique and innovative methods of teaching
• High level of personal discipline
• Ability to work independently
