Anesthesiologist Duties:

• Appeal to the human need for relief of suffering by administering prescribed anesthetic techniques and monitoring patients during surgery
• Appeal to the human need for preservation of life by administering and supervising anesthetics and respiratory and circulatory functions
• Instruct and train other nurses and allied personnel in anesthetic techniques
• Appeal to the human need for physical well-being by administering physical therapy
• Appeal to the human need for emotional well-being by counseling patients
• Appeal to the human need for intellectual and social well-being by educating patients

Anesthesiologist Responsibilities:

• Analyze medical histories, perform physical exams, and create treatment plans for hospitalized patients
• Perform invasive and noninvasive medical procedures including intubation, breathing medications, and drainage of fluids
• Record vital signs, administer injections, and carry out other basic medical procedures
• Intubate and intubate patients under general anesthesia
• Perform other duties involving the use of anesthesia

Requirements And Skills:

• Medical degree required.
• Current CACLS, BLS, and ACLS certifications
• 2+ years of experience as an anesthesiologist
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail is critical
• Ability to work independently and under supervision
