Dental Laboratory Technician Job Description

The dental laboratory technician typically works at a dental laboratory, although some dental laboratories may only employ dental laboratory technicians.

Dental Laboratory Technician Duties:

Dental Laboratory Technician Responsibilities:

• Assemble, prepare, and process dental restorative materials for dental labs using dental equipment and materials, including impression material, waxes, and blending materials
• Perform routine lab maintenance, including cleaning, calibration, and troubleshooting
• Use various measuring and testing devices to verify accuracy of lab work
• Prepare materials for lab technicians and implement quality control programs
• Assist with inventory control by processing materials as needed and replenishing materials in inventory
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment
