Job Brief:
We’re looking for a Dialysis Nurse to provide care and support to patients with kidney failure. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the disease process and be able to work with patients to manage their symptoms.
Dialysis Nurse Duties:
- Provide on-site nursing care for patients undergoing dialysis treatment in home, dialysis center, or hospital
- Performs duties under the direction of a Registered Nurse or a licensed physician
- Maintain accurate records
- Monitor patient vital signs, make assessments, and complete any necessary procedures
- Monitor patients’ fluid intake and output
- Evaluate reactions to medications and treatments
- Liaise with physicians, patients, families, and dialysis unit staff
- Manage stress level in stressful or emergency situations
- Proactively seek continuing education opportunities
Dialysis Nurse Responsibilities:
- Check on patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment
- Schedule patients for treatment
