Field Investigator Duties:
- Maintain regular contact with clients, meeting with them in person, over the phone, or in writing as appropriate to conduct investigations
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with clients, employers, attorneys, institutions, and the courts
- Utilize facts gathered through interviews, deeds, and/or other investigative techniques
- Keep accurate case files, notes, and other records
- Review and analyze client information, data, and other records
- Write reports summarizing cases
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Field Investigator Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the investigation process, including identification of victims, preliminarily interviews and information gathering, and confirmation and selection of suspects for interview
- Interview individuals with knowledge of events, including victims, witnesses, neighbors, family, and coworkers
- Assist detectives with analysis and documentation of each case
- Obtain search warrants and subpoenas
- Investigate and document all leads, conducting searches of locations including vehicles, residences, residences, and businesses
- Understand and enforce the judicial process, which includes working with the prosecutor, defense attorney, and judge
- Assist with court appearances and legal proceedings
- Attend to other administrative duties
Requirements And Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years work experience in law enforcement
- 5+ years proven experience conducting criminal and civil investigations
- Knowledge of state and federal laws governing investigations
- Knowledge of criminal and civil investigative methods
- Ability to develop effective general
