A flooring installer is a person who will lay flooring in homes or businesses.

Flooring Installer Duties:

• Carry out inspections of completed work to ensure quality standards are met
• Recommend proper maintenance methods, such as stripping, waxing, and cleaning
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, such as wearing protective clothing and eyewear while installing flooring materials

Flooring Installer Responsibilities:

• Install carpet, laminate, and wood flooring on commercial and residential projects
• Maintain clean job sites and ensure reusable materials are disposed of according to environmental standards
• Maintain a safe working environment by complying with safety standards
• Read and comply with jobsite safety rules, guidelines, and procedures
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements And Skills:

• Must own valid driver’s license
• 2+ years’ experience installing tile, stone, laminate, vinyl, or hardwood floors
• Ability to read and understand technical drawing, material specifications, and product care instructions
• Strong attention to detail
