Job Brief:

We’re looking for Forensic Scientists to work with us in our lab to help solve crimes.

Forensic Scientist Duties:

• Participate in crime scene investigations and laboratory examinations
• Review and analyze crime scene evidence
• Act as a liaison between law enforcement and scientific communities
• Interpret forensic evidence findings
• Develop theories of crime causation and dispute
• Provide expert testimony in court

Forensic Scientist Responsibilities:

• Perform physical and technical examinations of evidence in investigating crimes and incidents, as well as by conducting scientific research and analysis of complex evidence
• Proven expertise in the use of various scientific instruments and techniques, including microscopy, flotation, chromatography, electrophoresis, spectroscopy, gas chromatography, and other laboratory techniques
• Develop and publish research papers, monographs, and other technical reports
• Attend scientific seminars and meetings to communicate research and knowledge to the scientific community
• Host educational programs for law enforcement officers on best practices
• Attend and present at professional conferences
• Attend and present at internal training sessions

Requirements And Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or mathematics
• 3+ years proven experience in a forensic or environmental laboratory setting
• Experience in forensic chemistry, toxicology, biology, or forensic science
• Strong laboratory and data management skills
• Knowledge of OSHA
