An Intake Coordinator is the person who oversees the intake department of a hospital or healthcare facility.
The Intake Coordinator may perform the following:· Collects admissions, transfers, and billing information from patient charts.

Intake Coordinator Duties:
- Take and process all intakes and field notes, including collecting medical, cultural, and legal information
- Provide immediate referrals and follow-up for potential clients, arranging for medical examinations, available housing, and legal counsel
- Answer calls, respond to walk-ins, and schedule appointments for potential clients
- Coordinate with partners for client referrals
- Analyze intake forms for referral eligibility
- Perform other duties pertaining to intake as necessary
Intake Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Provide professional assessments of clients rendered in timely manner
- Advise clients of eligibility requirements and oversee enrollment and placement processes
- Communicate with potential employers and clients to schedule interviews and maintain positive relationships
