Investment Banker Duties:

• Identify potential deals for the firm
• Provide analysis and recommendations
• Perform negotiation and closing tasks
• Collaborate with other professionals to generate new investment ideas
• Research and analyze the financial statements and history
• Identify potential opportunities
• Create a merger and acquisition strategy
• Understand the risks and rewards associated with each investment and be able to directly determine whether it is worth the risk
• Prepare formal presentations
• Identify competitive activities and new market opportunities
• Review and recommend multiple investment opportunities
• Perform research to evaluate potential risks, value, and opportunity
• Analyze potential investments to determine potential returns
• Perform due diligence by reviewing financial records, legal contracts, and interviewing management
• Develop recommendations and negotiate terms
• Communicate with senior management and clients during the investment process
• Attend investment meetings, and be involved in due diligence
• Work with senior management

Investment Banker Responsibilities:

• Analyze financial statements and reports, and prepare financial projections
• Understand client markets, industry trends, and competitive landscape
• Seek out, develop, and close business leads with potential clients
• Understand business terminology including accounting, credit, and securities regulations
• Meet and exceed sales quotas
• Promote and improve existing client relationships
• Identify, qualify, and close business
• Incorporate feedback to increase lead quality
• Develop marketing campaigns to promote brand awareness, generate new leads, and convert leads into clients
• Provide feedback on market trends and business development activities
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements And Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field
• 1+ years of experience managing an investment portfolio, focused in investment banking or relevant financial services industry
• Excellent judgment, analytical, and quantitative skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to effectively present complex concepts
