Nuclear Medicine Technologist Duties:

• Perform nuclear medicine procedures
• Collect and analyze diagnostic data
• Assist nuclear medicine technologist in preparation of nuclear medicine preparations
• Work with physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of disease
• Perform radiological evaluation
• Conduct nuclear medicine procedures
• Attends conferences and seminars to update on new techniques, procedures, and methods
• Update and maintain records
• Perform clerical duties

Nuclear Medicine Technologist Responsibilities:

• State registered radiologic technologist
• Knowledge, training, and experience in all phases of nuclear medicine operations
• Knowledge of nuclear medicine equipment and procedures
• Knowledge of nuclear diagnostic techniques
• Knowledge of patient care
• Detail oriented with strong critical thinking skills
• Ability to work unsupervised

Requirements And Skills:

• Perform nuclear medicine studies for patients
• Obtain, store, and label radioactive drugs, radiopharmaceuticals, and tracers according to institutional standards
• Prepare patients for studies and answer their questions
• Develop and execute equipment maintenance protocols to ensure instrument reliability
• Create and maintain patient records, reports and logs
• Assist with front-desk activities
• Maintain equipment and supplies
