We’re looking for a Physiatrist to help us with our rehabilitation program.
Physiatrist Duties:
- Consult with patients, families and care professionals to address physical medicine and rehabilitation needs
- Develop and implement treatment plans for people of all ages
- Provide education and counseling on physical medicine and rehabilitation issues
- Perform physical examinations
- Perform diagnostic tests and laboratory studies
- Provide physician evaluation and assessment
- Provide patient and family instruction and counseling on disease, disorder, and treatment
- Maintain and update medical records
- Articulate, interpret, and apply relevant medical theory, medical law, and health care policies
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress and response to treatment
- Maintain professional certifications

Physiatrist Responsibilities:
- Doctorate in Physiatry
- Certified in Electrodiagnostic Medicine (EDx) and perform EMG testing
- Experience in the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions, including spine, musculo-skeletal injuries, and sport injuries

Requirements And Skills:
- Diagnose, evaluate, and treat patients with neuromuscular, musculoskeletal, and neuro-musculoskeletal disorders; prepare and update treatment plans and reports, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals
- Perform physical exams, diagnostic tests, and treatment procedures, including, but not limited to, injections, nerve blocks, joint injections, and ultrasound guided injections
- Explain procedures to patients, complete patient files, and prescribe medication as prescribed by the physician
- Perform patient education and instruct patients on proper use of medical equipment
- Design and implement physical therapy regimens, including therapeutic exercise, aquatic therapy, therapeutic massage, and physical therapy modalities
- Develop, review, and revise treatment plans
- Maintain current licensure
- Record progress, outcomes, and patient outcomes
- Attend and participate in professional and community activities, including, but not limited to, continuing education
