Plastic Surgery Nurse Duties:
- Performs nursing duties in accordance with current nursing and hospital policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Provides patient care in accordance with physician’s orders, policies, and procedures

- Monitors patient’s response to treatment and adjusts medication and treatments as needed
- Participates in audits and quality assurance activities
- Assists physicians with patient admissions and discharges
- Assists physician in preparation of reports, charts, and records
- Operates and maintains equipment and supplies
- Assists physicians and other nursing staff with patient care
- Performs other duties and responsibilities deemed necessary by Director of Nursing or Administrator
Plastic Surgery Nurse Responsibilities:
- Current RN license in state or compact state
- 3+ years of hospital experience in operating room and peds
- Current BLS and ACLS
- Intermediate to advanced patient care experience
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including
Requirements And Skills:
- Assist surgeons with pre- and post-operative care of patients
- Preparing patients for surgery, assisting in operating room, and assisting surgeon in post-op care
- Assisting the surgeon during procedure, providing medical support, and assisting with postoperative care
- Performing dressing changes, wound care, and IV insertions, and assisting with patient transfers
- Assisting surgeon with case preparation including patient history and physical exam, preparing and labeling surgical instruments, and setting up operating room
