Sonographer Job Description

A sonographer is a person trained in diagnostic medical sonography.

Sonographers use sound waves to investigate medical conditions and collect data.

They are responsible for collecting, processing, and interpreting recorded data.

Sonographers often work in outpatient clinics, hospitals, physician’s offices, and universities.

Sonography is a highly skilled specialty and is in high demand.

Job Brief:

We’re looking for a Sonographer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in ultrasound and be able to provide high-quality patient care. If you are a self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic, then we want you on our team!

Sonographer Duties:

• Perform ultrasound exams and interpret ultrasound images
• Prepare and submit reports to physicians and other clinicians
• Establish, implement, and maintain appropriate quality system policies and procedures
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Sonographer Responsibilities:

• $50,000-$60,000/year base salary with bonus
• No experience necessary

Requirements And Skills:

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams on a variety of patients
• Advise patients on exam results and follow-up care, including prescription of medications and referrals to specialists
• Follow protocols for procedures such as gowning and positioning of patients
• Record medical data and perform computations
• Maintain and update medical records
• Attend team meetings, educational activities, and in-service training
• Perform other duties as assigned
