Therapist Duties:
- Provide guidance and assistance to individuals to ensure they make appropriate decisions about their medical care
- Offer treatments, positive guidance, and emotional support to patients and their families
- Provide psychotherapy, counseling, and support groups, offer tutoring and life skills education
- Adhere to medical and legal regulations and requirements, as well as organizational policies
- Continue to study and acquire knowledge about healthcare and treatment options for individuals
Therapist Responsibilities:
- Masters degree or higher in rehabilitation counseling, psychology, or related field
- Demonstrated experience of working effectively with a diverse population
- Experience working with adults or youth
- Demonstrated ability to clearly document assessment data
- Experience providing individual or group counseling sessions
Requirements And Skills:
- Evaluate and assess clinical needs of patients and develop treatment plans to address them
- Implement treatment programs, such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology, or psychological treatment, according to state, federal, and professional standards
- Assist patients, families, and caregivers with education, training, and other needs
- Keep accurate records, perform required testing, and collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers
- Perform other related duties as assigned
